Miniature 1820s Sampler, Old Testament, Psalms 125:1

A finely worked miniature sampler from the 1820-1830 period. The entire subject is a delight on the eye, perfectly balanced within the outer fruiting vine border. This small original antique sampler comes unframed, set in a very old card mount. It can be displayed as is, or framed.
The quality of stitching is exceedingly good. Perfectly neat and well spaced upon the very finest linen ground. This little girl's sewing teacher would have been so proud. The verse is from the Old Testament, Psalms 125:1.
Sampler size: 5 1/2 inch (14 cm) by 4 inch (10 cm)
Condition: The stitching is good and strong. Minor age fading to the red silk thread. Minor age darkening to the fine linen ground. Age darkening to the card mount. Two tiny black marks top left and right corner that are most likely rust spots from the original nailed stretcher.
