Selina Ellis 1860s Sampler PDF

Selina stitched a beautiful sampler, most likely in the 1860s. Everything points to it being Welsh, her last name and especially the Celtic knots. These were not apparent on the original because of the decay of the threads. I was so happy to see them! It was also bought from an Auction house in Wales.
The model was stitched on 36 count Cream & Sugar by FOAW using Vicki Clayton Silks. It is is a very large sampler. The verse is quite different, it really makes me wonder why she chose this.

381 stitches wide by 381 high

Fabric measurements and cut sizes:
28 count - design size is 27.25 x 27.25 cut fabric 33 by 33 inches
32 count - design size is 23.75 x 23.75 cut fabric 30 by 30 inches
36 count - design size is 21.25 x 21.25 cut fabric 27 by 27 inches
38 count - design size is 20.00 x 20.00 cut fabric 26 by 26 inches
40 count - design size is 19.00 x 19.00 cut fabric 25 by 25 inches

The pattern consists of a color image of the finished design, instructions, and a list of floss colors; A color & black and white symbol chart spread over several pages for printing. A single page of the pattern is also included for those that use stitching apps.
