Sally Cratis Sampler Pattern 1808
An easy-to-stitch American house sampler from 1808. The wide layout is really nice and the modernistic design elements are really unusual. Sally was only 10 years old when she created this little beauty. The soft muted silks are such a delight and make stitching this sampler a real joy. The original was stitched with silk on linen. A picture of the original is in the chart.
The Kit can be found here:
Design Area: 309 stitches wide by 112 stitches high.
Stitched Area: 19.25 inches wide by 7 inches high
Fabric Size: 25 inches wide by 13 inches high
The measurements given in the pattern are for 16/32ct fabric. Aida works well as it is all cross stitches. Two strands of floss are used for all stitches. There are more fabric size options listed in the images and the chart.
The pattern consists of a color image of the finished design, instructions, and a list of floss colors; A color & black and white symbol chart spread over several A4 sheets for printing, and a single page chart for those that use in Pattern Keeper.
Thank you and happy stitching!
