Correction: Some of the charts have the bird's wing with purple charted, it should be DMC 3782 or Belle Soie Silk Oatmeal Scone (symbol "d")
A reproduction of an American schoolgirl sampler worked in 1848 at Mrs. Cooke’s School in New Hampshire. This charming piece reflects the elegance and discipline of mid-19th century needlework education. The original sampler, signed simply “LSC”, features a beautifully detailed bird surrounded by lush florals, paired houses, and delicate wreath cartouche, all arranged within a classic border.
The model is stitched on 36 count “Hazelnut” by Fiber on a Whim and worked using Belle Soie over-dyed silks by Classic Colorworks, giving the design a soft, antique glow and a wonderfully smooth stitching experience.
The chart consists of color, black & white and single page graphs (22 pages)
