Jessie Maria Wotherspoon 1839 Sampler Paper Chart

This Scottish sampler was worked in silk on cotton using mostly cross stitch, back stitch and some eyelet stitches. The original sampler measures 12.75 inches wide by 11.75 inches high. To achieve this exact measurement, you would need fabric with a weave of 30/32 count. The original lives at the Cooper Hewitt Museum
