This is a stunning early 19th-century sampler. I find it interesting that the only damage on the sampler is the area where the date would have been. Harriet was born 24 June 1807 in Penistone, Yorkshire, England. She would have stitched this sampler in 1822. There is a blog post on the interesting history and findings here: Harriet's Blog Article

Design Area: 225 Wide stitches wide by 269 stitches high
Stitched Area: 14 inches (35.7cm) wide by 16-3/4 inches (42.7cm) high
Fabric Size: 20 inches (51cm) wide by 23 inches (58cm) high
this includes 3 inches (8cm) allowance on all sides for finishing or framing
The original was stitched using silk threads on a 36ct wool canvas and the size was 14.5 x 12.5 inches.
The pattern consists of a color image of the finished design, instructions, and a list of floss colors; A color & black and white symbol chart spread over several A4 sheets for printing.
