A blue monochrome alphabet sampler reproduction from England stitched by nine-year-old Elizabeth Laidman 1760. The verse makes this sampler so endearing. The Alphabet is missing the "J" because it was not a letter used back then. The verse in the sampler is from an old book by William Kenrick (a not very popular man) titled "The Whole Duty of a Woman" (published 1753)
Design Area: 114 stitches wide by 174 stitches high
The pattern consists of a color image of the finished design, instructions, and a list of floss colors; A color & black and white symbol chart spread over several A4 sheets for printing.
