A Tiny Sampler with a Big Story
In 1848, nine-year-old Catharine Elizabeth Corse picked up her needle in New York City and stitched a sampler that would survive nearly two centuries. She was a true Brooklyn girl! She was born, married, raised four children, and lived her entire life in New York until her passing in 1907.
This charming mini sampler is a faithful bird adaptation drawn entirely from the original Catharine Corse Sampler. Every motif carries the spirit of that little girl's careful stitches.
153 x 127 stitches, thread amounts are calculated for 18 or 36 count fabric.
