Not as old as many samplers, but no less beautiful. AW must have worked from the same pattern book as LZ. Both have a touch of art deco and are redwork samplers. AW interestingly crochet around the edge of her sampler to "hem" it.
I decided to have AW stitched with an over-dyed brown cotton thread called Blackbird by Classic Colorworks. The fabric is 32ct smokey white Belfast linen. This makes her 7.5 x 8.5 inches.
There are no over-one areas so this sampler lends itself to linen or Aida.
The PDF consists of 13 pages. Both in black and white and color diagram. There also is a single page to make it compatible with Patternkeeper.
Design Area:
105 by 117 stitches
Use 2 strands of floss for 32ct and lower.
Cut Fabric sizes include 3 inches around all sides for finishing should be for each sampler:
14ct/28ct 14" x 14"
16ct/32ct 13" x 13"
18ct/36ct 12" x 13"
20ct/40ct 11" x 12"
