Alice Young 1647 Sampler Paper Chart
Created in memory of Alice Young the first ever witch executed in the 13 American colonies in 1647. It is a smallish sampler that measures only 5 by 8.75 inches when stitched on 32 count fabric.
The stitched area is 80 wide by 140 high, the model is 32 ct Cobblestone Belfast linen using Classic Colorworks Cotton
The backstitches in the Willow can be stitched as either one long stitch or back stitched as in Fig.1
Below are the measurements of the design, and the cut fabric sizes in inches allowing 3" for finishing
16ct/32ct 5.00" x 8.75" - cut fabric 11 x 15
18ct/36ct 4.50" x 7.75" - cut fabric 10 x 14
This pattern consists of 8 pages of color and black/white charts, including a single page of the pattern in color.
