Emily Field 1861 Sampler Pattern
Emily Field 1861 Sampler Pattern
This sweet little redwork sampler is an original design and was inspired by my Georgian Miniature redwork sampler from an earlier period. I think it would make an excellent addition to any sampler wall, especially those that collect red samplers.
The Design is 281 wide x 155 high. The model is stitched on 36ct Edinburgh linen by Zweigart with Valdani overdyed silk called aged wine. The total stitch count is 9147 stitches and it takes 1 ball of Valdani silk (the ball is about 23 yards) which equals about 3 skeins of regular floss.
The design is all cross stitch and lends itself to Pattern Keeper.
The cut fabric size includes 3 inches (8cm) allowance on all sides for finishing or framing. Calculations are listed for Linen and Aida Cloth.
28/14 ct design is 20" x 11" Cut Fabric 26" x 17"
