Harvest Moon
What a perfect time to create the first blog post….please come join me on this journey. September and Brrr… fall is definitely in the air these past few days, with night temperatures dipping into the 30’s.I am ready for the cool air. Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year with colorful leaves everywhere and all those spicy aromas drift through the house. It is so nice after this very long and hot summer to finally feel a chill in the air. The earth is slowly beginning its move towards dormancy as the sun pulls away from us. In just a couple of days, it will be a full harvest moon. Sometimes called the Wine Moon or the Singing Moon. This is the time when the last of the crops are being gathered from the fields, the last of the garden veggies and berries harvest and stored for the winter. It’s the season when we’re celebrating Mabon and the autumn equinox.
As the days grow shorter and there is more “indoor” time, it also means there is more time to create. Enclosed is a small little freebie for the harvest moon. Sign up for the email news it is the best place to learn, create, and join with your stitching buddies.
