Such a delightful miniature sampler to add to your collection, from England. The original was stitched with silk on woolen cloth. The size of the original sampler is 1.75 by 2.25 inches!!!! I designed it slightly larger, but still miniature. It is believed to be from the early 1800s. The mystery is, who is "M"? And why did she not finish her sampler?

The satin stitches go over multiple threads, these are not little backstitches. Charted in multiple thread types for you to choose from. If you want to stitch this in the original tiny size it would have to be 46ct over one thread.
The printed paper chart consists of a color image of the finished design, instructions, and a list of floss colors; A color & black and white symbol chart are spread over several A4 sheets for printing.
Thank you and happy stitching!
